Whether you are a senior or a person with disabilities, you’ll find expos are a plethora of valuable resources and innovative products you need under one roof. They’re found across the country—hopefully one near you. In fact there is one in Florida Sept. 23-24. The Independence Expo in Orlando is offering contemporary consumer workshops, exhibits, interactive shows and information on pursuing an active lifestyle.
The free expo is open to all and hosted by the United Spinal Association, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D) nationwide.
Check out the list for more than 80 vendor exhibitors at www.independenceexpo.org to find whatever interests you, including accessible vans, customized mobility equipment, sports, veterans’ and other support groups, assistive devices, home accessibility with style, fitness and nutrition, a demonstration of service dogs and a host of other fun and informative events.

- What about Me? Taking Care of the Caregiver. (Explores relevant issues such as ways caregivers can balance more than one role while taking care of themselves, as well as hiring and/or dismissing a caregiver.)
Entrance is free, but pre-register online and get no-lines and no-waiting fast-lane admission at the Expo. You also get a second ticket for a friend.
